I think that I am going to entertain the thought that I'd mentioned a while ago about writing something for the folks who view this blog, and anyone who they'd like to show it to, and anyone who they'd like to show it to, and so on and so forth..
I've decided on a dark, action-drama sort of thing (very few other details are going to be given until it's release, unless you're working on it). It will be a short series of three or four graphic novels. I'm in the process of scripting them now. The writing should be finished and edited within a couple months unless other projects have to take time away from it.
In the meantime would anyone like to draw it?
Serious inquiries only please. You'd have to be able to work fast while following scripted directions. I'm not looking for cartoonish figures. I want realistic people, props, and surroundings. We need pencilling, inking (unless I use a different method), and someone who can do the coloring and lighting either with Photoshop, Paintshop, or something similar. I'll do the lettering myself. I will also need cover art either from the penciller or from a third artist. We'll be doing this for free to entertain our friends here at SG.
I will supply character info and other cool stuff for us to work on together as I script the story out.
If it turns out to be really good, we may potentially make a series out of it. If that happens... well I can't promise anything but there is potential that it could be pretty lucrative if we were to make it into a series. It certainly wouldn't go for free at that point.
The finished project will go on my website in a "non-advertising" way. There will be no links or adds to our other graphic novels or projects. I will not mention the name of the company, etc. This is just for fun.
Please e-mail me if you're interested, through the contact part of my SG page. I'd like to see samples of your work when you e-mail. Either links to art on your SG page or a website with your work is fine. If you think that you could do this sort of thing, and you don't have a portfolio that would reflect your ability to do so, I will send you a couple of pages of sample scripts for you to draw.
I really like the story concept, by the way.

Well, it does sound like a cool idea, but i'm in school, working to pay rent and bills and doing some personal projects as well. I don't think i could take on anything else at this point. We'll see here things are in a couple of months though.
