ok. I have this subscription cuz someone bumped me for free (or the site is just trying to entice old members...)
So... in the spirit that someone out there gives a shit about knowing what's going on my life:
1) I am now older. B-day was awesome and karaoke (as to be expected). OceanaGurl blessed me with her company and visited me for the weekend. Thank you, love, for putting up with my gimpy ass self. I hope you enjoyed being stoned all weekend for a change of pace. ;-)
2) I am ALMOST walking again. It's so close, I can feel it. Don't tell my doc or my physical therapist, but I've been walking around my apt-- still heavily supported on surrounding furniture (or my new purple pimp cane... thanks Brian!)
3) Going to Minnesota in less than a week! YAY WEDDINGS!

4) Working on getting a mic to record on my computer... starting to write again... and I can't wait to get my guitar from my sister (she drove it all the way to california for me!)
5) And in other news... my sister now lives outside Fresno! Huzzah. That means the babies (my 2 yr old niece and the one still baking in mom) will be closer to me, and Sara and her fam and I can do Thanksgivings together, so it's not always just me, Dan, and his mother (when she flies out to SF) out in California because I can't go home due to work.
6) Speaking of work... I'm not sure if I'll be able to go back to WI for Xmas this year... medical leave has pretty much fucked me over. Joy of my life. I'll probably just have to go back in January, perhaps.
