have you seen the predicted damage from this hurricane? poor New Orleans is suppose to be practically leveled. I feel really bad for all those people down there. Hopefully they'll have something to return home to.

What's the worst storm you've been through?

mine was when I was about 7. We had three tornados hit in and around our town on the same evening. The winds were so strong it picked up our playhouse and threw it 50 feet aross the yard. And this thing was not light; it weighed somewhere around 500 pounds. It was coming straight for the house, but at the last minute the gust changed direction and forced it to the ground.

The New Orleans and surrounding areas devastated by the hurricane are....I can't even begin to think of the words when I read the news and see the pictures. What those poor people must be feeling, I can't even imagine.

The worst storm was probably a blizzard that hit right after I was born, so obviously I don't remember, but it was really bad and a lot of people in my hometown died. The snow was overup to the roof of our house (two stories), and a neighbouring farmer had to deliver essentials like bread and milk to houses with a horse and sleigh. The snow went all of the way up hydro poles, and just the lines stuck out the top. I got pneumonia three days after coming home after I was born, and my parents were terrified when they couldn't gte me out to the hospital, and I almost didn't make it. I travelled via horse and sleigh for quite a ways wrapped in about six comforters. (this was before snow mobiles were quite common, almost 30 years ago) It caused a lot of damage and people were stranded for weeks.
