I have returned!!!

What a great weekend! Got to spend lots of time in the French Quarter taking in all the sights (besides those on Bourbon St.) This time of year was pretty tame. The street was about half empty, which made navigating the area much easier. The weather cooperated with temperatures in the 70's, tolerable humidity, and a nice constant breeze from the Mississippi to bring fresh air through the possibly stagnant streets. I think a lot of people miss the whole experience of New Orleans if they only go for the nighttime festivities. There are some great restaurants and shops that can only be experienced during the day. Those new finds made the trip interesting.

Results from this weekend:
# of entrys for Saturday - 96
where I ended up - 25 (almost in the top 1/4)

# of entrys on Sunday - 77
where I ended up - 35 (better than 1/2)

All in all it was a very welcome break from work. Time to let my body recover and plan my next trip.
