looking at a banner above this page inspires me to say one or two things:
1) become informed about the issues that face us not only during this election year, but everyday. use your higher intellect to sift through the propaganda and mass-appeal techniques used by candidates to win over the mentally lathargic. read newspapers. use this facinating tool, the internet, and obtain knowledge. watch TV for the latest stories.
2) vote.
please, please, please vote! regardless of your stance on the current war, economy, education reform, social security, national security, or which candidate has a stronger persona, voice your opinion by voting.
the country might have taken a different path if 100 million people would have voted last election. without the youth of our country, old policies will may never be challenged and current concerns might not be addressed properly.
if you can gather enough courage to assert to the waiter that your meal is not done properly, you can make your way to a polling booth and show your choice in a candidate by voting.
