they say, 'milk does a body good'
i'm here to tell you all, 'vacation does a body good!'
yes, it's true, i've returned from places afar. it's nice to wake in the morn, glance around at the sunlit room, and breathe a giant sigh of relief that it wasn't my ass having to get up at sunrise.
first off: yes, i did think of all...

Looks like someone drank a lot of milk on his vacation... wink biggrin love

Nothing like a vacation to align perspective, huh? I think that it should be forced for people to take time out of their lives, to step away, and take note of the goodness, or am I just the only person who would have to be forced to leave work? eeek Pathetic, I know.

Yes, the two weeks will fly by, and I'm sure the constant absence of sunshine has attributed to my mood lately, but the sun is out today, and I love it! I feel like people from Arizona when they say "it's 110 degrees, but it's a dry heat" when I say..."it's 30 degrees, but the sun is shining!" And when the sun is shining, and it starts to snow...it looks like glitter is falling from the sky! biggrin
josephene:
What a great story! I love snow...not driving in it or scraping it off the car, but looking at it and photographing it...most definitely. And it makes everything clean. It's natures version of pushing the mess under the bed, we'll just cover it with a clean white blanket of snow. Mother Nature rocks my socks!

So, what's new with you, besides the facial hair that is... wink kiss biggrin

we have queens and former prime ministers, ex-presidents and movie stars, famous musicians and everyone in between crammed into this small capital city. and after so much prep and hard work, the fates decide to prank the masses by inviting a rainstorm to the festivities.
when such a major event occurs here, everyone is on their highest alert for celebrities. *gossip: i heard at work...

i had to get out this weekend and stroll through the mall. with the holidays coming up, i needed to get my brain shifted into gift mode. i really enjoy the holidays, but i wish they wouldn't start playing Christmas music in the middle of November. isn't the official start of the Christmas season the day after thanksgiving? i worked in the public sector for...

with winter approaching, i think i will do something i have not done in a long time: grow a beard. yes, this primal instinct to allow scruffy whiskers to amass into lengthy facial hair has come alive. i shall periodically keep a photo update to document the process.
exciting, isn't it? whatever

i have been listening to "A Perfect Circle" continously in my car. i can't seem to get tired of the harmonic chorals of Maynard James and the clean instrument performance. i've been singing two or three songs over and over, caught in the repetitive bliss of the notes.

i think i'll sing one for you:

say hello to the rug's topography
it holds quite a...

Ahhh...the trick of the list of discovery is to just open up and let it flow out. Even if you don't want to share it, it's fun to do, and looking back over it, you can learn lots about yourself. Just start writing. I'm hoping the idea is universal and it's not just that I like talking about myself. wink Thanks for the teasers though...always great to learn more about you.

kiss love kiss love kiss love
passing the love back to ya! wink

Have a great weekend...OH and great lyrics... biggrin

Pretending to have shick treatement reminds me of one that flew over the cuckoo's nest wink Yes..I needles need to be added to my list ...I thought about carrying a syringe in my backpack for the airport security last month...but thought that might not end too happy shocked

this change in time did me no good. i thought the extra hour would allow me to catch up on some lost sleep, but a late night out thwarted all plans for enjoying it.
so now i'm waiting for treak-or-treaters to come knocking so i can give out candy. but if they don't make it, then there will be more for me! tongue

once again i'm...

The time change is absolutely RIDICULOUS! I have this friend, who lives in Little Rock...You might know her... wink Well, when she was in DC, she was an hour ahead of me. She moved to AR, and we were on the same time, and now that it's the time change, and she did and I didn't...I'm an hour ahead of her. Who decides this crap? biggrin This is the biggest thing I have to bitch about today, can't be all bad, right?
brite_red_scream:
yeah the month of october was sheer madness...but i'll be staying my ass at home for a good while thanks to the holidays severing all of my funds...now i'll be busting ass working doubles at work until x-mas is over...FUN FUN!

a small story of halloween past:

the cheap costume
in my home town a few years ago, there was a halloween carnival. it took place in the downtown area and several activities were being held: haunted house, a kid's trick-or-treat area sponsored by the police, and the awe-inspiring 'battle of the bands' gig. since i had to work that evening, i had to meet my...

One year, I was a forest faery...(water faery this year, notice a trend?) Well, my hair, long, dark, and curly, by nature was moosed, sprayed and backcombed until it was just huge. Very deliberate...Well, that with the artistic vines drawn all over my body, I guess it worked. I remember walking out in front of my friends and it was like most of them were seeing me for the first time. From that point on, everytime we would all go out, I would be told to wear my faery hair. Not really that interesting, just memorable.

eeek HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! eeek
happygrl:
None quite as entertaining ... I was a fairy last year, one of the guys on my team was dressed in woods like camouflage and kept asking me if I anted to perch on his arm...Wow...my story is just lame and sickening ... I think I need to puke just thinking about that! Have a great halloween wink

i have returned from one of the many dry counties in this state today and will pass along some trivial info to you:

the first alcohol-free Outback steakhouse ever was built in this state.
so was the second one.

a bit odd by my standards.

the other day i found an open casting call for a voice actor to star in a new animated series....
