Thanks for the welcome, no need to sell Josephene to me, sweety, but it's nice to see she's made such nice friends. Nice friends with very cool pictures. By the way, I went to a bar once that had the mechanical bull and I went on. I blame the alcohol for my inability to hold on for long. However, when we went back there a few years later, they made you sign a release. I would have signed it but the guy actually said. "sign this so we don't hold any responsibility when you get hurt" "WHEN"? Ummm, "if" maybe would have been a better way to word that. Anyway, thanks for the welcome.

And yes, indeed, spring has FINALLY sprung. We had a full blown blizzard on Sunday, but all of the snow has already melted just about and it has been so warm this week. I always have the urge to run around naked when it's spring, and that lovely spring smell fills the air. It must be repressed acts from childhood. <g>

CONGRATS! Great job this weekend! That's awesome. Any pictures to share with the class today? The first time I went to Nawlins...it was on a trip with my parents and we did the touristy thing, which was very cool. I remember walking down Bourbon St. and it just 'feels' different. Then in college went back for Mardi Gras and had a great time, although, truth be told, a little to scared to dive into the deep end of the happenings. I would love to go back again. I have been to places that try to imitate Mardi Gras in their own way, but there's no place like New Orleans. I'm glad you had such a good time and got away from that soul-sucking job of yours.

And I have magic fingers, if you are still hurting, I would love to help you out.

Awww...*hugs* I hate that you're feeling so shitty about work. Those days when the word "FUCK" is the only plausible description, seem to be too many for you. Start putting your feelers out for something else. Find out how much you can live on, and look for THAT job. Sometimes a drop in pay in worth your sanity. If you would die at the end of the year, would you look back on this time in your life and say "look how much money I made" or "look how unhappy I was." Don't get me wrong, surviving comfortably is key, but you're self-worth is if not more, than at least equally important.

Keep your chin above water, honey...and try not to make decisions based on emotion. It's hard to do, sometimes, but it's not going to benefit you to up and quit. It would screw them short term, but it would end up screwing you more down the line. And haven't they screwed you enough? Leave with the dignity that I know you have, and a reference of what a great job you did for them, and not plagued with how you left. Just my opinion, I seem to be full of them lately.

Your words sound so familiar. About a year ago, I was at that point in my job. Being taken advantage of, and feeling the urge to move on. My letter written, I was in the process of looking for something better when a new opportunity opened up here to make it much more appealing to stay. The reason my job had sucked so bad was because there was no where to go. And I need to feel challenged to be interested. It seems a bit different with your situation, but I just wanted to let you know I sympathize with you. You'll be taken advantage of until you change it, unfortunately...they won't wake up one day and change. Only you can change your future. I wish you the best of luck and clarity on this issue, honey. Quitting is easier said than done, keep strong.
