so, its weird to hear my grandmother say "have a nice life."

man, i fucking HATE nights like tonight. i hate feeling like people are forced into giving me compliments, patting me on the back, or giving me gifts/money. ugh.

im definitely in a weird place right now. i ate dinner at my dads cause my grandma and great uncle are in town, and then stopped by the kids house in salt lake. i arrived at an empty house, to learn from a note on the inside of the door that a and s are gone for the weekend. most strange of all, little (the...

and no contact ever since eh? well, i guess that makes things easier?
that's so wierd how we all started saying things like suckstown. rob says this all started when i heard someone on a flight describe things as suckcity and sucksville and that we all started saying it. is that true?
remusisdying:
me thinks i heard it from someone a long while ago, but i stopped using it. then bc i heard you say it, i began anew.

this morning made me realize why i like it so much up here. the fact that each type of weather highlights something in the landscape that im really into is a sign that i feel very comfortable here. its also that i enjoy the way the mountains overlay one another. it makes its so depending on the changing weather, the view evolves and you can...

Yeah, personally I thought that the games were pretty disappointing. The Czechs really should have won.
So wierd to get back to the US and realize that I'm NOT coming back to pc. Unless perhaps in August, between fall and summer classes, but I guess you'll already be gone by then eh?
How is the computer? How is life?

so, its been a while since my last post. before the last one, i was on a pc, not this beautiful thingamagig. also, i was totally concerned with something else, though i dont really remember what that thing was. however, i have to say that sitting at my moms house alone on a friday night, while drinking a beer and watching 'undercover brother' is about...

what are you, drunk? heh heh. by have you mean havent, eh? I actually realized that I left your address in the us, and then i randomly decided that instead of asking you for it, i'd just send the postcards from there.
how was the roadtrip? how was vegas?
new orleans? dude! what are ya gonna do there? when are you going? i wanna come!
man, it's so wierd that i'm not gonna see anyone except my parents when i get back to the states. suckstown.
remusisdying:
yeah, i am TOTALLY drunk. man oh man, suckstown is right. this is suckstown. population: tire. i mean, population: me.

imagoldfish:
yeah, especially in the place we stayed in kentucky, where the smoke alarm had been ripped off the wall, and there were huge holes in the bed spread. not to mention the burns on the frickin bathtub. hot damn.

starting to get bored already. no one really lives in pc any more, and i dont know how to contact most of the people in slc that i would want to hang with. damn it. this is going to be an interesting summer...im fairly confident that i will be leaving for medical school (or wherever) with an ulcer.
imagoldfish:
An ulcer?
Well, I have a lot of peoples' cell phone numbers if that helps... it is going to be wierd now that no one lives in pc, i just realized. hmmm. volleyball may be a bit harder to organize, eh? argh.
remusisdying:
yeah, i can imagine going out with people from the racquet club more this summer than last. esp with the price of gas going so high.

back home in utah. good to be back in this good-looking place.
imagoldfish:
is it sunny there? it's all cloudy and gross here, I'm ready for some summer weather.
remusisdying:
its raining off an on today, but yesterday was very sunny. the weather has been great, actually.

man, i really dont know what to do. i feel like i need to go home and think about my options, but i think that might make it harder to really think about what i want to do. ugh.

so apparently my advisor really liked my thesis. i mean, his praise was seemingly beyond the normal, boring, obligatory stuff. somehow he finds me as distinctly impressive, and he has been impressed "a lot." its weird, cause im really not that great. he is going to try to convince me to apply to grad schools when i go to meet with him early next week...

going to see 'manet and the sea' today at the pma with my mother; should be a good time. its really scary how quickly connections can be made at a school like this. in the past three days i have probably become closer friends with more powerful people than i have all the previous days of my life. very scary indeed.
chandrajudithann:
I'm just a chick from Jersey is all, no big deal, really.
remusisdying:
nope, not at all. welcome.

i think the best part about banging your head against the desk is that at some point you stop feeling the pain. ugh.
