I love Morphine. Have you got 'The Night' album, the last one, released after Mark Sandman died? I think it's kinda patchy, but the opening title track is one of the most affecting songs I've ever heard...

Reminds me of a joke in a film by Jean-Luc Godard: there's a shipwreck and all the people are in the water and a family of sharks swims by and the father shark says to the kiddy sharks, 'OK kids, women and children first!' Ha ha ha...

I'm afraid I have a bit of a problem with Antonioni and, to be brutally honest, with the whole of Italian cinema. I have never seen an Antonioni film that didn't bore me silly. L'Avventura, pfffffffffffffffff...

I'm really getting into swimming - it's an interesting mind-body experience ...... almost meditative.

it's annoying to feel how awkward my stroke is - but I'm improving. there are longerstretches when my stroke comes together and I feel this energy transmitting through me, moving me through the water with that effortless efficiency ....... you know, like a real swimmer
