I love Morphine. Have you got 'The Night' album, the last one, released after Mark Sandman died? I think it's kinda patchy, but the opening title track is one of the most affecting songs I've ever heard...

Reminds me of a joke in a film by Jean-Luc Godard: there's a shipwreck and all the people are in the water and a family of sharks swims by and the father shark says to the kiddy sharks, 'OK kids, women and children first!' Ha ha ha...

I'm afraid I have a bit of a problem with Antonioni and, to be brutally honest, with the whole of Italian cinema. I have never seen an Antonioni film that didn't bore me silly. L'Avventura, pfffffffffffffffff...

Sorry.

I like your name and I also like the Magnetic fields.
Here's my favorite lyric (from memory):

'I've got so many paintings, I've practically emptied the Louvre
I don't think I'll go to town today, I'll stay home and hoovr'
Up the gold dust'

Genius!

my girl is the queen of the savages
she don't know the modern world and its ravages
instead of money she's got yams and cabbages
she doesn't use a fork, I don't think I'll go back to New York

in other news ...

I'm really getting into swimming - it's an interesting mind-body experience ...... almost meditative.

it's annoying to feel how awkward my stroke is - but I'm improving. there are longerstretches when my stroke comes together and I feel this energy transmitting through me, moving me through the water with that effortless efficiency ....... you know, like a real swimmer

I'm hooked...

It absolutely would NOT be out of line... thanks for the compliments! YAY! I love your little quotes you leave on my journal. That effing rocks.

And April is only the month of fools if you live in Jersey. I haven't worn a coat in a week, and it's going to fucking snow sunday. Yay.
