You'll be reading more than one account of this past weekend, undoubtedly... but in the final reckoning? The one-year anniversary of @Cadavre and @netherrack (which, of course, also served as our one-year reunion), for all the great anticipation, could not have gone one bit... better. Sometimes things really DO happen like clockwork and spin like gold...
I don't have nearly enough time to tell the entire story here, but it started when I took my special guests (whom I consider as my own daughter and son-in-law) to sit in on the Shagbag Radio Show!
Then I whisked them off for a clandestine project literally months in the planning... for which they provided both skills and accoutrements...
Emphasis on PLANNING. We knocked this out in less than half of our allotted time with nary a hiccup. Okay, maybe ONE hiccup. ;) But the details belong on a blog of their own. That left us plenty of time to enjoy lunch at one of the best local sushi restaurants before I left them to their own devices (with a pair of Aquarium passes, natch) and got ready for the ROCKY HORROR double-header that night.
We tore it UP... fueled as we were with Paper Wing Coffee and @cadavre cookies... in this case, ROCKY-themed "lip" cookies!
And just like "old times," there they were in the front row...
To wrap things up, Sunday lunch with my parents in Pebble Beach... and while my adoptees had already met them (and my son), they FINALLY got to meet my wife Lisa face to face! (Oh yes, they also met Psycho-Perky, the Chihuahua mix...)
And then I sent them off with my blessing. Literally. I'm their minister, too. :)
