So I go to a diner early one morning... not looking forward to work and feeling rather bluesy... and the waitress comes to take my order.

I state "I'd like a cup of coffee and a kind word."

Moments later, she came back with a cup of coffee which she set down before me.

I said "I see the coffee, but where's the kind word?"

The waitress leaned over and whispered in my ear...

"Don't drink the coffee!"

Can any of you do better? For reasons best not gotten into, I'm feeling less than my usual chipper self, and I could quite simply use a kind word or two from a friend--in fact, it would help tremendously.

Not that my friends aren't already doing plenty to cheer me up...
