MY turn to ask for YOUR vote!!!

My friends, I give you "The Rondo Awards," in their eighth year of celebrating the various worlds of horror, science fiction and fantasy.

For the last three years, that's included the art of horror HOSTING. And I once again find myself listed amongst the suggestions for "Horror Host of the Year."

I've never campaigned for this honor, as I've been hosting longer than the Rondos have been acknowledging the format, and as I've considered myself part of the Horror Host Underground for almost as long. I've used my timeslot to give you... not necessarily the "best" horror host show around, but the very best horror host show that I, myself can give you. And I've always been happy to share my timeslot with the efforts of friends and fiends coast to coast... we're NOT competitors--we're collaborators.

Nevertheless, I thought I would bring this campaign to this community. Were I to ever win such a Rondo, I would dedicate it to the entire HHU--that's a promise. But that has to happen first. And if my friends in this community alone were to band together and cast a ballot for "Remo D." in the "Horror Host" category, then we could landslide this thing.

Now, I'm not the only horror host on SG... I'd be derelict in my duties if I didn't remind you of my good friend Undead Johnny, whose "World of the Weird Monster Show" features SGs and Hopefuls alike and has appeared often in the MANOR timeslot. But I would dare suggest that I've been the host most driven to promote not only his own show but the sets and projects of his Hopeful and SG friends on a regular basis--this is my second year on the site and I'm trying to make the absolute most of it.

So I'm going to ask all my friends to cast their vote for REMO D. and ask THEIR friends to do likewise--and I'll be posting this link (but not this entire spiel, fear not) from now until the April deadline on a regular basis. Vote in as many Rondo categories as you like, feel free to skip any that don't apply to you or your interests, but keep it to ONE VOTE per person (no ballot box stuffing here), and please vote for your old pal REMO D. in the category of "Horror Host!"
