Alex Cox...
Well, I recently received another boost to ye olde ego... okay, you remember REPO MAN and SID & NANCY? Director Alex Cox was near the top of the critical world thanks to those two--but the back to back releases of STRAIGHT TO HELL and WALKER in 1987 effectively torpedoed him. So guess which two films I wanted to review for Watchdog?
Apparently, Cox himself read and enjoyed the reviews, and as a result, I look forward to reviewing his recent, unreleased-in-America opus SEARCHERS 2.0 on request!
I'll take that over the cold shoulder I received at work today... okay, you remember I was ecstatic over the promotion I received at the office? Well, in cold hard fact, I remain with my original department for one more week during the "transition" from biller to coder. So today? My soon-to-be-ex-supervisor abruptly takes the OTHER two members of my team out for lunch on the house and leaves me sitting there (even though I'm still technically working for HER). I ask (pleasantly enough) "Where are you going?" Response: "We're going out." They return? "We're back."
Okaaaayyyyyyy.....
Oh, to hell with it. When I'm HERE, I'm among friends, no?

That's awesome btw. Repo Man is one of my all time favorite movies. And I also have to add, that in college, I and all my friends thought Straight to Hell was it's own kind of genius and have seen it dozens of times. Man, not in forever though, I should dig up my old vhs
