best birthday ever...31 years from the moment i was born i am watching the sun creep through the rain soaked sky of Northeast Minneapolis, 100 hertz bass dropping like a wave in a warehouse and a couple hundred lifers in the prison of minimalism sharing rapture simultaneously...then Paul's wife makes me chocolate chip pancakes and i start a new year wrapped in someone else's clothing since the rain and the sweat have shrunken mine to dwarven size.
best birthday ever.

I don't celebrate mine because the last few birthdays have been awful. I have nothing against getting older (well not too much anyway wink ) but when my family tries to do something for my day, it always ends up being disasterous. I think, like you, I would much prefer to celebrate my own way with no outside influence!


I saw that you were planning on going to WEMF this year. I am thinking about going but I've seen so many mixed responses about it I'm a little nervous to drive that far. What advice could you give a WEMF newbie?
