EDIT: so i did some more.

okay. so this next series has me answering questions on a scale of 1 to 7 about my feelings during the last month. this is retarded though, because i've been dating someone for the last month.. so the emotion scale has completely tipped. ask me again in another month or so, and everything will be back to normal.
(1 through 7. 1 being rarely, 4 being occasionally, and 7 being almost always.)

happy - 6
sad - 5
anxious - 5
confident - 4
hopeful - 6
fearful about the future - 4
angry - 4
calm - 5
fortunate - 6
out of control - 3
fulfilled - 3
depressed - 5
energetic - 5
tired - 4
successful - 2
unable to cope - 4
satisfied - 5
misunderstood - 7
safe - 5
plotted against - 3

What are the THREE things for which YOU are the MOST thankful? (Please limit each answer to 20 words or less. These answers will be shared with your matches.)

I'm thankful for words.
I'm thankful for my era.
I'm thankful for artichokes.

so what does eharmony have against gays, huh?

when i started this bullshit survey, my intentions were to possibly find a girl i could relate to.. and hopefully sixty-nine with. what with being a recent dumpee, i'm a bit peeved at the male population right now. but the only options are man seeking woman and woman seeking man.

this is crap. oh well. i guess i should finish this survey now.

i find that going to church is a good way to meet people who benefit my social and/or professional life - not really
i like to look at people of the opposite sex - very
i can be offended by satire and sarcasm - not at all
i can accept the circumstances of my life as they are - somewhat
it is important for me to take time to "smell the roses" - very
i generally prefer to spend my spare time alone or with people with whom i am close to - somewhat
i regularly read the paper and magazines - very
i prefer to live life rather than analyzing life - somewhat
i take pleasure in working out - somewhat
i need to spend time creating things to feel satisfied - very
my beliefs make me a better person - not really
i have an ability to make others laugh - very
i need to win at whatever i am involved in - not at all
i work much better if people follow my lead - not really
my emotions are generally stable - not at all
i am proud of my educational background - somewhat
if i am not in control of a situation, it is better if i leave - not at all
my friends come to me when they are in difficult times because they know I can handle emotional crises - very
i am more comfortable being a follower than a leader - very
i get upset easily - very
people who are controlling irritate me - somewhat
i think it is important to express my feelings whether they are positive or negative - very
i prefer not to be around people who have emotional swings - not really
i tend to either like someone a lot or dislike him/her a lot - somewhat
i like to be pampered - somewhat
i generally feel better when i am around other people - not really
when i get mad i tend to take it out on someone - not really

another survey question..

other than your parents, who has been the most influential in your life and why? (Please be brief. Note: This answer will be shared with your matches.)

fuck!

i don't fuckin know. should i get all cheesy, or should i give a stupid answer? okay here we go.

every english teacher. every reading instructor. every language arts tutor.

haha. okay, i went with cheesy.

hhhhhhhhhhhot.

yeah, and it's not so much that i was unmatchable with anyone they had in their current database. but they made it sound like i could never be matched according to the characteristics by which successful matches occur on their site, which is kind of like saying "i'm sorry, but you don't have what it takes to ever find someone".

well, i'm not going to let a website tell me that i can't find someone, but i just wish they made it known before i took the survey, that some people will be unmatchable on their site. then i probably wouldn't have wasted my time.

hope you have better luck!
