SPOILERS AHEAD!!! And a bunch of other stuff that might not be so family friendly. This is definitely NSFW!!!

I warned you...

Here is a link to the Red Band Trailer KICK-ASS 2 ENJOY!!!

It's finally here! The trailer for what I like to call the first real comic book movie! If what Mark Millar, writer and creator of the source material "Kick Ass", says is true of the film. They pulled no punches, they wanted to keep it as raw and as violent as the book itself. Now for all who read this, if you know me, that's exactly what I've wanted since I first started reading the comic. I loved the first film it was definitely the best you could do with the material. But after reading "Kick Ass 2", and hearing Mark Millar himself say that they want to keep everything from the series in the movie, I lost it. Without spoiling anything, there are at least 3 things that happen in the book that I would never imagine could happen in the movie. Or at least not if they were to release it in theaters.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

  • The decapitation of a "Superhero" and his K-9 companion, and then they're displayed for their friends and teammates to find.

  • The murder of a bunch of little kids. This day and age I could see that being a hard sell for a studio to get behind. Not that I'm offended by it, but we all know how ridiculous parents can be. I myself am hoping that they Rate it NC-17.

  • And last but nowhere near least of all is the Gang of Henchmen who rape and hospitalize a teenage girl. Yup! When I first read that part I was still a bit shocked by the shooting of several young kids, that happened just a few pages before.

This may sound awful but by the end of that particular issue, I was ready to buy my ticket!

Mark Millar has always pushed the limits in most everything he writes. But when it comes to his creator owned stuff, (original stories and characters) there are no limits. Just to name a few, Wanted (which is nothing like the Movie that goes by the same name, not even close, other than the names of the characters.), American Jesus and my personal favorite NEMESIS. Trust me if you loved the first Kick-Ass movie you should read the original book as well as these and of course all of Mark Millar's other works. He is a true genius!

Here's to the brave new future of comic book movies!
