I just want to say how terrified I was yesterday...There is a famous park here, where people go there to drink mate, maybe a beer, walk with their dog, GO OUT WITH THEIR KIDS... there was a fight with two gangs (os famosos bondes) and they start to shoot each other...people running, mothers with their kids had to lay on the ground, some kids got lost from their parents...I was near with my daughter, my mother in law and my husband, just to get an icecream (a famous one O Sorvete Jia) so I wasn't right there, but while the shooting happened, we where walking right next to this place, we crossed the street, walk a few blocks, and we saw the police (I counted 4 cars and 3 bikes) going to where we were... after that we eat our icecream, we thought someone was stolen or there was only a fight. We took the bus...some bus stop after, 2 guys got the same bus, one of them was bleeding, we thought it wasn't safe to be in that bus anymore, and jump out. We were waiting for the next bus, we had 3 options so the bus wouldn't take that long, but it took...so we saw other 4 police cars, going the direction we where before, and coming back with some of the injured, and 2 ambulance (the bus stop we where is just in front of the ER) and all of the cars came back to go to the emergency entry and their friends running to the same entry to see how they were...We took the bus...I don't live in a dangerous neighborhood or anything, but inside the bus there was 10 guys that where in that shooting (they were going to a mall in the same direction I live, actually we were going there at a first time, but we gave up after hearing they were going there). They were saying what happened there, how cool it was, one of them saying that "he will take his gun next time, cuz they run away when things start to got heavy"... While I was listening, I didn't look at them, but I could notice the tone of the voice of some of them...15, 17 and one 10 or 12 years old...saying how cool the sounds of the shots were... They mark meetings to fight, like in other countries, by internet (Orkut, the brazilian Facebook). I saw the newspaper today, at least one guy died there... We weren't going there for a long time, my daughter was nearly bitten by a dog that walked off the leash, Thank God I pay attention to everything, then I saw the dog running toward our direction and I picked her up... There is a law agains it, but people don't respect that law.... I will not go there any long...only on Saturdays in the morning, there is a great market were we can buy organic food, but on the Sundays, never again...
