My Username pt deux

Huzz--zah! and FYI for my SG family, I am no longer kjmn543. but rather now RedStatic. Don't ask me why I chose that name because I have no bloody idea. I've changed it because I needed an 'easy' name to remember.

Went to a BBQ last night and it was really good fun. It was P's birthday and she was very merry (and stupidly hyperactive) towards the end of the night. Her sister, J was there and so were several of their friends.

It did make me think of several things. Social circles always have a theme. I have my gaming mates, then my personal friends, and outer circle of friends yadda yadda yaddda.. . . and looking at P's friends, they were all young, female, (mostly single) and very attractive. Odd? I do not know. Do these themed social circles 'hunt in packs'? and do they ever interlink themselves with other circles? I found myself throughout the night chatting with a can of semi-cold Grolsch in one hand psychobabbling on about personalities and playing devils advocate whilst mingling with other like minded people. I'm perfectly happy with doing just that but then again, most people were in my first degree of separation.

Perhaps I've been cooped up in work and my personal life for so long, I've forgotten how to 'mingle' or the meeting new people game has changed because I have and I've different responsibilities. . .

One to mull over a cuppa tea and cookies. oh and Dr Who! The finale on BBC Iplayer woot!
