i posted a bit on my journal, but i figure i'd just tell you in person (or whatever*you know what i mean*). the studio space we got is in the big rickety old gooderham & worts distillery district in between parliament and cherry street, south of front. the whole property is being renovated now by various people, but a lot of the buildings were leased entirely by non-profit arts organizations like artscape (the people i'm now a proud tenant of...is that grammar fucky? sorry. anyway, it's going to be amazing, i just met a couple of dudes running a microbrewery there, they're offering the city's first organic, vegan lager! good, now i know what to give those finnicky organic vegan friends of mine for xmas this year...the website for the general viscinity is http://www.thedistillerydistrict.com if you want to see the site, it's very neat-o. it's going to be an extremely wicked environment to work in, inspiring. right now there's 20 foot long lathes and drill presses that are twice as tall as me just sitting in the cobblestone street, all rejected and rusty...i bet they have lots of bits'n pieces i can scavenge! where abouts was your old loft? hopefully not in the overly expensive spadina/king region, their square footage is fucking insane! that'd be reason enough to move out of the city! how was your friend's rawk concert on the weekend? where did they play? hope you had a guuuuud time. anyhow, gotta split, hope all is well with you too.
