Well, this is obviously my first journal entry so I guess I should tell yall a little something about myself. I just graduated from college this last December and moved down to San Diego shortly after that. Im currently working for a pharmaceutical company doing biochemical research and applying for medical school in the fall. I still havent heard anything definite, but its looking like I may have to reapply due to the fact that I applied very late in the process and everything is on a rolling admissions basis.
I grew up in a small (pop. 1200) California mountain town in the Sierra Nevadas, which could be construed as the poster town for Whitetrash-Redneckville, USA. Many folks up there still dont have running water and/or electricity and many make their living mining for gold, logging, or producing contraband. All that said, I wouldnt trade my experiences there for anything in the world.
I joined SG because it seemed like a good place to meet like-minded people and hopefully to develop new relationships down here in SoCal. Im really into hotrods and muscle cars. I own a 1970 Mercury Cougar that I bought non-operational when I was 16 and have completely rebuilt. I should have pictures up soon, along with a list of todos.
