I used to curse them and fervently wish that I could, just once, have a wagon wheel in my lunch box. Now I'm so very thankful.
My old best friend who had lunches that I would've killed for and got to have Kraft Dinner and KFC all the time grew up to have major health problems due to his diet of crap. He's better now but you can certainly tell which of us had the real luxury growing up: parents that knew what they were doing with food.

I'm gonna be back in The Couve this weekend, you and Rin should come hang out with me so we can talk about Scarlett's boobs.
I'll be in town for the weekend, so I get there hopefully late afternoon on Friday, Dec 15th (my birthday) and I'll come back Sunday, Dec 17th. You're more then welcome to come back down with me; road trips are better with company anyway. You can take the train back up, I think it's like $60.
I'd offer you a place to stay, but I live in a studio apartment with no furniture except a bed and a desk. There's a great hostel within walking distance of me, Northwest, and Downtown, which are the touristy areas. It's $17 a night in the winter, so that's about as cheap as it gets. I stayed there my first week in Portland when I was looking for a job/apartment, it's nice and clean and in an awesome location.
I could also ask around in SGPDX, as I'm sure someone could take you in. Erin I think has a spare room and couch in her house, but it's further away from all the good stuff.
