the chill of the morning creeps into my bones
my breath comes out in a white mist
the armor saps the warmth from my flesh
as i scan the mountain pass
i see movement as a man tumbles through the snow
wait for the right moment to strike
swift and hard as i was taught so many years ago
he gets closer i can smell his stench
now
i bound from behind the trees
with one swing of my ax his chest burts
open with a spray of blood erupts
along with the sound of him drowning in his own blood
as it pours into his now open lungs
another job done and more coins in the purse
my employer will be pleased that this man was sent to the abyss
