The repair work is, against all expectations, going according to schedule. It looks like (knock knock) we might actually make the closing date (for those not familiar, extending past the scheduled close of escrow means big nasty fees.) I can take credit for about 10% of that; I've spent a good amount of time this week clearing brush and other crap from work areas, painting, fixing minor plumbing issues, and other handyman level tasks. Fun discovery: My soon to be house has a woodpile, which they throw in for free. Within said woodpile I have found a few hundred black widow spiders, also free. (They have been dealt with.)

I would have things to report - if this weren't consuming my whole life. No complaints though, this is what we signed up for.
