Yesterday I bought a new external hard drive, 750 gigs worth. It occurred to me while setting it up that, about ten years ago, one of my favorite cyberpunk games listed the size of a human personality recording at 100 GB. This is, of course, a ridiculous figure, but I'm sure it sounded big in 1998.

But it did make me wonder, if I did have room to save seven people, who would they be?

The extra 50 is reserved for my pets.

I thought a monk's sacrifice of sex brings them closer to God. Not much of a sacrifice if they want to give it up. Then again, I might just be cribbing that line from Disney's The Three Musketeers and be totally off-base here.

Since I'm a photographer, I have several terabytes of pictures of people, does that count?
