Went to a little SF author's event last night, featuring Paul Park, Gregory Benford, and Terry Bisson. Reading, followed by discussion, followed by inebriation. Physicists and writers can drink, people.

Well, nobody, actually.
I'm headed to the East Coast from July 6th to the 15th. Some of that will be taken up by a visit to the Pennsylvania Arts Fest, and a weekend swing through NYC, but I am a creative scheduler, and should be able to visit with those of you back that way.
The price of this vacation is a series of horrible work deadlines before and after. I may also have to make a trip to Reston, VA in a few weeks, to attend a class on a proprietary scripting language used by my company's requirements management system. Yeah, real useful outside of my current job. Well, it's their dime.
