A cool little tv clip, showing one of Japan's latest android incarnations. She isn't quite real yet, but if you put her at a desk in a cubicle (and hid her power supply), I bet it would take a while before anyone noticed.

lynnailove:
Heh. I suppose I owe *someone* a favor.

I've seen the info on the androids over there. Insane!
blitzkrieg69:
I agree with you.I have learned to shut my mouth andd just take their money. Its just sad when you look at society and see that everyone only cares about themselves and not who they take down or what jobs they cut in the process. I am happy some of my fellow employees got a early out option they deserve it. It sucs because just when you get comfortable somewhere shit goes down.

Excerpts from the Diary of an Aspiring Death Metal Frontman

Yes, McSweeney's can be a bit too clever sometimes. But this is genuinely hilarious.
aubli:
thanks! your screenname is awesome, by the way (sherlock holmes rocks).

almost as awesome as "festering axe wound," even. but then, that's a girl's name. wink

Moved into the new place. Chaos abounds, I can't even find the damn dishes. We've been eating takout all week, but damnit, I actually like to cook.

In other news, it seems I may have fucked up some muscles in the process.

Moving tonight. Ugh. Boxes. Cleaning products. Rented dollys. And those funny little space blankets.

See you all on the other side.
aeryn:
Yeah you posted pics. of comic con!!! Looks like it was a lot of fun.

Moving is awful except that it makes you HAVE to throw a lot of stuff away. AND it makes you wonder how the HELL you ended up with so much stuff... Good thoughts for it all for you.
kay:
Good luck and be safe love.

Funny you should say that, because my mother did find my SG page two days ago. Haha

Set down a while, and read the strange, sad story of Phillip Schuth.

My girlfriend used to keep her deceased pet rats in the freezer, but Phillip beats that all to hell.
nixon:
Good call.
kay:
I think the psycho in the office next to me is far more hazardous than a microbe. Fuck, I could get out of the office for a few days...oi.

Wow, I'm bitchy.

Pet rats? My uncle used to keep road kill rattle snakes in the freezer.

Wow!! How did you know what I do at work?

And yes, I can stop the self pity for a brief period of time. And then I wake up, and have to start over. Life...it's that dead time in between watching movies...
adoll:
Did you know that your keyboard is dirtier than your toilet bowl?? puke

Playing hookey from work today, and of course this is the day my school calls for money. I totally lied to the guy and got out of it.... and then that old Catholic guilt kicked in, and I actually called them back and made this ridiculously large pledge.

I'm so fucking weak I can't stand myself. smile
kay:
But yer sweet....

~cheers
aeryn:
AHH but its a good thing to be weak about.

Yes, I'm moving slowly toward commitment. So far it seems my ankle has decided.

I'm back, and rejuvinated. Well, at least until I start looking at all the work I missed... smile

Okay, Ill admit it: I find cartoon Celts hilarious.

In other news, we may all soon be eating vat-grown meat.

"Yes, I'd like a 30 by 30 cube of Prime Rib, lean, please?"
flux:
How DEPRESSING.

I'm apparently the only member of my generation of my family who cooks. It's positively awful, as I come from a long line of Southern masterworkers.

Food is the absolute essence of celebration and family for me. To deny it is to deny life.
kay:
Indeed. Vat-grown. he he.

Thoughts, prayers, and solidarity with the people of London.

P.S. - Where'd Aeryn go?
tygerblade:
You might be surprised at how many video games I've seen that have exploding cows in them...I think Monty Python started the trend by launching a cow with a catapult...
