just thought i'd remind everyone that my job is stupid. i got alot done, at first... then they didn't have a cashier for about 2 hours so i ended doin much of that... until my manager finally realized that I HAVE ENOUGH OF MY OWN WORK TO DO, let alone to cover everyone else's! so HE came over and cashed on my register! at least it took some of the pressure off, and all the jobs got done on time.
after work, i went to get spotty at her new work, but considering i was a little over an hour early, i went grocery shopping. i hate shopping alone. i was wandering up and down the aisles all alone, trying to remember everything i needed to get... i hadn't had the time or energy to make a list at home.
spott told me it would be a good idea to find myself something for dinner because she wasn't really interested in food... so i went over to the prepared foods section, and decided i was feeling adventurous. i stopped at the sushi stand, and since i had never even TRIED sushi before, i asked the very "eastern" looking and sounding man behind the counter if he could suggest something. he handed me a small package (geez what do you call them? wraps? rolls? i dunno), told me to mix the wasabi with the soy sauce & put it on the sushi, and sent me on my way. i figured a few dollars was worth even trying it and not liking it.
so we got home, i cleaned out the fridge & put groceries away, and then i sat down to try it. the wraps were crab with avocado and celery, wrapped in seaweed (i'm guessing), with the outside coated in rice. looks like a pretty standard format for sushi. anyway... i mixed a little of the wasabi with the packet of soy sauce, drizzled it over the sushi, and tasted. this taught me two things.
1. i like that particular dish, but only well enough to eat "when i'm in the mood for it". and...
2. wasabi FUCKING ROCKS. i LOVE foods that taste really good before you swallow them, then burn like hell afterward! YAY WASABI!
i WILL be doing that again.
tassilo has me convinced that he, our younger brother, and i should get portraits done for ma for christmas. i asked if we're bringing significant others, and he said yes. i like that idea.
my sister's wedding pics are up online. there is one really good one of me with my brothers. i'll see if i can swipe the online image to post. hmm... maybe i can link it.
did it work? did it work?
anyway, it is time for me to be off.

You're so beautiful! Red is your color. I still haven't tried sushi. Grocery shopping alone sucks monkey butt. I know working where you do can be hell. Hi! How are ya?
