background info: i started belly dance classes last november. right now, i'm on my 3rd and 4th classes, and totally addicted. nothing legal to do in public has ever been this fun.
last night, i had plans to meet a friend out at a mediterranean restaurant after work. i got there, and much to my surprise, there was the dance troupe from my studio, performing! i had no idea they'd be there. none. anyway, my teacher, michelle, sat down with us and was chatting for a few minutes... she told my friend that every year, she finds 1 or 2 students who are really meant to do belly dance, and that i am one of them. she said i'm really good.

i'm still reeling a little. i've actually found something fun, physical, and possibly with a future (once i start performing), and someone whose opinion matters wants me to keep up with it. it's still soaking in...
