so far this weekend i've done a bunch of napping and not any real "shut down the brain for extended hours" sleeping. mostly that has been to fit plans in...
when i came home from work yesterday, i napped until Spott and i had to get up to go get her new tattoo - a biohazard symbol, about the size of a quarter, just behind and below her right ear. then we did lunch, rented a movie, and came home to watch it - which i didn't, really. mostly i stared around the darkened room. then we took another nap until it was time to get ready for our evening. after making sure everyone had good directions to her parents' house in Canandaigua, Spott drove us there, where we sat watching some crap movie on cable until first her parents and then our friends arrived. then we joined Spott's youngest sister and her friend out back at the small fire they had already started. and fed it. no, really, there's no pyromania going on with our group. those two big piles that used to be the 1/3 of a large willow knocked down in a storm would have burned up pretty quickly without us prodding it along constantly. honest.
after that, we all went to Timmy Ho's for some snacks, and even after that the remaining group of us (Spott, her Sis, Sis's Friend, and i) went to Walmart to look for a particular game we wanted to play. not having found the game, we came back home where Spott immediately found her way to bed, i became a spaz and cleaned out the fridge, and then i sat with Sis and her Friend for many hours as we had some light conversation... you know, about the possibility and timing of the earth's core shifting drastically and new ice age onset, world socio-economic issues, the best ways to help weather-ravaged cities like New Orleans complete their evolution/recovery (considering they will obviously never be the same)... which all came to an abrupt end when we realized that it was dawn, and we all needed to go to bed.
since i woke up shortly after 11am, i have finished reading a book, and i'm thinking about going back to bed. Spotty's at work, and won't be home for hours, Sis and Friend are out somewhere, and i don't really have anything pressing to do.
that's it! i've convinced myself.

Sleep rules....! I just am getting set to finish reading a book this evening...then bed and then work and then read and then sleep and then work....what a viscious cycle. I had a kick ass weekend overall though. I haven't watched much tele in the past days or movies....waiting for a few good ones to come out soon on dvd before I venture into the house again to watch. while the weather is nice. I stay outdoors! I took a bunch of nature photos and posted them up on my blog today from my trip on friday. I need some longer day trips and overnighters before the year is up. ANother trip to gettysbug seems to be in order also...
