yesterday... i thought i was going to go to sleep as soon as i came home from work. i even came home, put on what passes for pajamas in my bed, and laid there for a while. it didn't work out. i couldn't get to sleep, so i got out of bed and waited for a little while for spott to wake up. finally, i gave up and woke her up myself.

we agreed that food and shopping were the things to do. i also had to drop off a book to a friend at officemax. we went in that direction first. besides brunch/lunch, we were looking for:
1) a doorknob for spott's youngest sister.
2) a rain shower head for spott's mom for christmas.
3) cat litter.
and
4) a new cat litter box.

long story short, here's what we ended up with:
- doorknob
- 2 kinds of hair dye to do spotty's hair
- lunch
- a new cat box
- a new rain shower head for spott's mom
- a new handheld shower head for us
- a 5.5 gallon glass tank with mesh cover
- 40 lbs of cat litter, swheat scoop (i have never seen a big bag of this stuff before!)
- a bunch of clementines (they're like tangerines)
- a small metal mesh rodent exercise wheel.
- an upside-down test tube style small animal water bottle
- mouse/rat food pellets
- rodent chew toys
- a small, young, dark grey mouse, which spotty promptly named "kitty"

there is a story, a long one. if enough people are curious and comment, i'll tell it. however, right now i have a cup of tea and a movie calling my name.
