Goulash--the way i make it
ingredients:
1 1lb box fun-shaped pasta. i like garden rotini.
1lb ground beef.
1 jar or can spaghetti sauce.
grated parmesan & romano cheeses
italian seasoning
garlic
pepper
directions:
--put water on to boil for pasta.
--brown meat over medium high heat in pan big enough to later mix in sauce. while meat is browning, season with italian seasoning, garlic, and pepper. then put in twice again as much of each. remember this is to season the whole dish, not just the meat
. once meat is browned through, turn down to medium low, and stir in sauce. cover and simmer for a few minutes.
--add pasta to boiling water and boil until "done", whatever that happens to be that day. (usually depends on how hungry i am at the time).
--once the pasta is done, drain pasta and return it to the pot.
--add parmesan and romano to taste to the sauce.
--add sauce to pasta, mixing thoroughly to coat all pasta.
voila, it's done.
i prefer to eat mine with a slice or two of american cheese melted over the top. sometimes if i'm feeling adventurous, i'll add some veggies to the mix, whatever i'm feeling like at the time. sweet peas are good for that.
anyway, that's about one of the easiest and least expensive meals i know how to make. and that crazy girl of mine thinks the world of it. i dun get it.
on another note, a friend of mine and fellow writer inadvertently gave me an excellent idea for a foreword for my book, which just happens to tie in nicely with a title i like, as well as the silvia browne quote and my own comment i want to use for the last page, all of which go with my idea for the cover... CJ you rock!
today is the 11th anniversary of moving in with my dad and ma. life change it was at the time, but i think the results of that move have definitely made me who i am today. its a little mind-blowing.
tomorrow is fall cleaning day. if you want to chat aim and don't see me on, try messaging firewhitecave. it's our house combo screen name so none of us have to miss anything.
later folks!

abyssia:
It sounds so good.... Goulash. Funny name. Sounds a little like when I make spaghetti sauce with meat. But I won't be doing that anymore, I think. We're going veggie. Just at home. Where did you live before you lived with your dad and your ma?
