Money raised for good shit - Me being a tool - A real bunch of assholes - me being a sick pup(et)
A pretty eventful weekend there, me n the guys played a charity gig which was raising money for a wee girl who lost her mother last year, for a small town gig the organisers did really well raising 4,000 on the door and I think at least another 4,000 from raffles and auctions- f'kin good work by them! Our set went pretty well, we were bricking it a little about playing our newest song because we hadn't had a lot of time to work on it before the gig and of course me being the tool that I am had said on FB that we were looking forward to trying out our new tune... doh! But it sounded pretty cool, I need to tweak my parts a little here and there but over-all it's a cool tune.
On the downside- one of the bands on the bill walked out minutes before their set- seriously, at a gig to raise money for a poor wee girl and these assholes walkout??? Who does that?? It's a good job they were long gone before most people knew. F'kin di*ks!
Last but not least Sunday's hangover turned out not be be a hangover at all, picture me laying in the bed of the girl who I've been dating for around a month curled up in a ball shivering and groaning and burning to the touch, I musta looked sooooo pathetic lol. She nursed me pretty well for most of the day though until I was well enough to drag my sorry ass home at around 9 in the evening. She even popped out when I was passed out at one point to get me some meds and cookies =] Anyways it turns out I've got tonsillitis (seriously, it's like being a kid huh?) So it's day 3 now and the fever is still coming and going but the Doc gave me some penicillin so hopefully I'll be fit to work that festival this weekend, well here's hoping......
