Well, I've moved into my new apartment! I am very excited to be living on the east side of Milwaukee. I'm within walking distance of North avenue, and Brady Street for that matter (although that would be a bit of a hike, but I've been known to walk longer distances while intoxicated). I saw the 4th of July fireworks (actually the 3rd) in Milwaukee this year and it was fantastic. I had a six pack of Leine's Creamy Dark, 2 shots of bourbon and walked down to the lake to see the fireworks show. What really made the fireworks special was not only seeing them in the sky, but seeing them reflect off of the glass buildings! Wow that was cool. I walked back to the apartment via North Avenue and stopped at a few bars along the way. This may not seem like that interesting of a night out, but considering I never go to bars, and especially not downtown at that hour, it was a fun time for me.
