I just got a weird feeling something bad is heading my way. Like when you see an Asian person behind the wheel of a car.
I took my Chinese friend (a PhD student in the mechanical engineering dept), whom I have been teaching how to drive (white nuckled as I really can't afford a wrecked car) to take his drivers test yesterday. He passed! That is a relief! I worked with him for 3 hours Monday night to refresh his memory on the details and work on some of the things he still wasn't comfortable with; I had him practice driving in the city changing lanes without slowing down and we practiced parralel parking on hills, y-turns etc. As it turns out, the examiner didn't even make him parralel park! What a lucky break ay?
I think with a little more experience he will be one of the good drivers out there. His next step is to buy a car and then watch out!
