So I recently purchased "Mama said knock you out" covered by FFDP feat. Tech N9ne. I had a tiny revelation. Rock n' Roll is really the last music genre the has resisted complete industrialization. It's the last shitty genre. I say that meaning it isn't shitty at all. No don't get me wrong, there are groups that suck, Nickleback comes to mind. Take a look and these baseless and mind numbing songs put out by hip hop and rap artists. To me it feels as if there is no feeling to their music anymore. Hell even Eminem seems to have sold out now. And just so you don't think I'm a straight up hater of those two genres, my favorite rap artist would have to be Tech n9ne. Favorite meaning I have 7 songs max. I digress, when I listen to his music, to me it seems he actually puts in original thought and voice to his "rhymes". And some of the songs I have of his are almost as hard hitting as some of the metal I listen too. Whenever I here my coworkers play little Wayne or whoever the fuck they listen to, I get angry and highly annoyed at how shitty the music sounds. I really question their upbringing.....seriously. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm getting older (2 years till the dirty 30!!). But I feel it's because my mom and dad raised me with an ear for good music and talent. Thoughts or comments?
