my critique for painting went well tonight. i like when my paintings are well received and people interpret them in teh way that i intended. i also love hearing peoples opinions that are nothing what i was going for because it allows me to look at my work differently and possibly see something in it that i didnt' notice before. when i work on a painting for so long i only see what i want it to be and don't realize it's potential to be something different.

my friend's unofficial boyfriend asked her what she weighs today adn i was so shocked at her response. she literally yelled at him "YOU CAN'T ASK A GIRL THAT!!!" i was really shocked to hear this from her because she is soooo tiny. she's been losing more weight lately too i've noticed so i'm a little concerned about that. as someone who struggled with weight and self image issues for so many years and dealt with eating disorders it is easy for me to recognize symptoms in others and also really hard for me to cope with. it upsets me so much to see someone else going through what i once went through.

anyways.....it's late. and i have to get up early in the morning. it's my painting professors 50th birthday tomorrow so my friend jen and i made cupcakes for the class. we have to ice them in the am before class! hehe...i'm such a tool sometimes.
