I forgot how much I hate getting up in the morning. I say this because I've been working nights for the past month and now I'm making the transition over to days. Not only is it bad for me, but I am a thoroughly unpleasant person in the morning. Well, more so than usual.
Work still sucks and all that, but I did find out one interesting tidbit of information. Apparently one of the higher ups in my section doesn't understand why my position exists at all. He makes the point that we don't really do what we're supposed to be doing on paper, there are other sections that do what we should and can easily take up the slack for the things we really do. So of course my immediate supervisors are trying to justify the existance of MY position by piling all of this crap on myself and my coworkers. Notice that my supes aren't making more work for themselves, just us. The funny part in all this is that we're all in the military, so it's not like we'll get fired if the position goes away. Whatever.
I was told about a rather cool website by ShedMySkin, who is a good friend of mine. Even if he is arrogant and condescending. But that's what makes him loveable. Anyways, the site is here Pandora. The idea is something like taking a song or artist you like, typing it in, then the engine searches for other music similar to your input. It's free, so you can only skip something like six songs in an hour, but if you let it play through it doesn't stop. And you can have multiple channels. It really is very cool.
Because Vikings just fucking rock.
