hippomonki:
i'm glad you liked my art smile i think its way better in person how ever.
it may need a home.
hope you are feelingbetter beautiful!
oh and the thing i adore about you, well at least one of the things is that you can be so very femminine but also have the insane passion of a man about all of the things you hold dear to you, you have an amazingly balanced duality that makes me grin so big!

This summer I seek to live in a perpetual motion between music and meta-music. I will christen my naked body in the blood from my fingers.

You are invited.

I am still here. Still alive. In fact, things are looking up. I haven't felt much like updating here because I have been recoiling from the fact that I spend way too much time on this site anyway (at least, checking to see if I've got comments, etc) and neglecting other, far more important aspects of my life. It's fun and all, but really, when...

That's too bad that you missed Drag Ball! It was great. Will you be around for most of Renn Fayre? (say "yes")

Note to self: the next time you are inspired to start the evening by taking on a double-shot of Maker's...don't. You are not tough. You should stick to making out with Ryan's boyfriend.

Cheating with Rainier once in a while is okay, but honestly.

Perhaps it was also the SPAM garnish that I shared with d23. Waking up feeling nauseous and...

I have the worst mood swings. I wouldn't go so far as to think that I am manic depressive or anything (I believe some people truly have a chemical disorder, and I ain't one of them). But goddamn if I don't go up and down a lot all the same. Yesterday evening I finally got the call I'd been waiting for, confirming that I got...

Firstly, congratz on the job. That is excellent.

Secondly, I know what you are going through with the mood swings. I had a bad problem with it last summer when I was in between jobs. If you believe you don't need medication, then I suggest finding some kind of hobby or project to work on. You need to change something up, or at least I had to. It worked wonders.
kara:
ooohhh, i'm so glad you liked it and that you actually rented it blush

i didn't make it to the video store that night but i'm going tonight for sure. i'm going to try and rent that movie if i can find it. i'll let you know what i think

I interviewed at Reed today. It went perfectly. Nothing left to do but wait.
Not twenty minutes after that, I got a call from one of the places I'd applied, and I think I may finally have a job. Naturally this put me in an excellent mood. Had it taken much longer, I'd have been forced to moved back home for 6 months or so...

Damn-ass emoticons. What does the chicken mean? Is it like saying that you were being sarcastic?

What job at MY COLLEGE did you interview for? Or are you going to be a student?

Yesterday was fun. I awoke from an afternoon nap to a phone call from a friend whose car had broken down out near Tillamook. She had borrowed a cell phone from some folks who lived down the road from where she was (out in the sticks) and I got to play rescuer. The Cancer in me was pleased. Anyway, I headed out (getting lost once...

Boys in eye make-up! So cute! biggrin

It sounds like good times. Yay for good times! Boomboom goes the DJ and I shake and groove the night away. Teehee!

I just recntly saw the Kings of Convenience at the Doug Fir. It was AMAZING! If you haven't heard them, you should check it out.

Thanks for the Nick Drake tip. I need to see if the album is in the music archive. *fingers crossed*

More blither from a "bad friend running behind on catching up" girl . . .

I was taking photos at the Lone Fir Pioneer Cemetary on Morrison & 20th. I love that place! It makes me feel very peaceful to walk amongst the dead. I haven't seen Six Feet Under yet, but I have heard good things about it. We will have to check out the DVDs. Currently, my guilty pleasure is Reno 911! Why is it so funny!?! whatever biggrin whatever

*smiles!*

Well, I've done it. After all my stressing out and panic attacks and generally miserable mood the last few months, I have completed my application to Reed. Done and done. The next few years of my life rest on how this goes. It is surreal to think that it's done and all I can do now is wait.
I have been wanting to go to...

I've reached a point in my life where I cant help but hear a song without estimating its potential candidacy for some unborn perfect mix cd. Its not always conscious. A war between enjoying albums start-to-finish (which I wholeheartedly believe in) and picking songs out of context for place in a personal arrangement goes on somewhere in my head. I am obsessive about mix cds....

I do that subconsciously as well. Although the quality I'm listening for is whether it would be a good song to exercise to, as the music at the gym is routinely sucky and uninspiring.

The last few days, despite being filled with desperation and panic over the prospect of running out of money, have actually been very pleasant. I spent yesterday afternoon walking around campus, exploring. I walked through the canyon and took roads without any idea where they led. I walked to a roadside fruit stand and bought an orange, then explored some more. Perhaps it was because...

Broke down again last night. Go so lonely I just lost it. Worried about school and having a repeat of what happened last year, making the same mistakes. I looked through my phone book for people to call. Started cleaning my room (what else could I do?) and listening to music and just fucking lost it, hard.
When you're crying you want someone there, a...
