Happy Poetry Day, everyone.
Oceans take our secrets
what we don't want to see or smell anymore.
We feel anonymous
we feel clean
when we throw our past away.
It will wash, we think,
It will sink
It will drift far from this shore,
It will disappear.
Maybe the fish will eat our words
maybe lost or spurned loves
will help deep-sea feathery green plants...

Tea is always a lovely idea. In fact, I think I'll make some now. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey! I just noticed you have a picture from the Sandman for your profile. That's awesome. I love Sandman.
i stared into the domain of Despair today, through my computer screen. overwhelmed with the urge to destroy myself, to give up forever. i got over it, but it frustrates me how weak i can be. sitting here listening to the Bends, something i've not sat with for a long while. thinking. remembering. i make the same mistakes, or rather, have the same flaws of...

i get that feeling too sometimes, sometimes all too frequently. But the fact is, we're still young, and we have so many more experiences to look forward to, if we just allow ourselves to connect with them.
Peace.
Peace.

Awwww . . . I walk in Despair's realms far too frequently. Her hook is sharp and sometimes almost impossible to get free of, sometimes more pain is required to break free than to remain wallowing in the darkness. *warmest hugs of sympathy*
Chin up, my dear. You have many amazing stories to read, many amazing stories to write and many amazing stories to live. Sometimes one must lose something for awhile in order to appreciate all of it's radiate blessings and beauty.
Take care . . .

today i sat in the library at Reed while Rain was in class. eventually i had to use the restroom, as i was carrying my handy Strong Bad water bottle. it was as i was walking through the various rooms, admiring the tall ceilings and dark wood when i came to realize a basic truth: bathrooms at Reed are very difficult to find. i wandered...

Lucid Dreaming? Awesome stuff to experiment with. Does it interest you, or are you seriously experimenting with it; i.e. do you have a lucid dreaming machine and/or practice waking up two hours before you normally do-that sort've thing?
And lastly, if you're practicing, what are the best methods you have found to work, if they are working at all? :]

hmm, well, you probably already know about it, but a great site is Lucidity.com. Check out their experiments.
aside from ordering the lucid-mask, what i heard to do is wake up anywhere from an hour to two hours before you Normally wake up, stay awake and engage yourself mentally as much as possible for 30 minutes to an hour, then go back to sleep. Experiments have shown that after you go back to sleep you're much more likely to have vivid dreams, thus more likely to realize you're dreaming, making it lucid.
Hope that helps. Keep Rockin. :]

today i continue reading The Kindly Ones. happy and anxious.

quasi--love that adjective
i keep getting asked what exactly i am recovering from. so i thought, finally, i would type this up. the name is taken from a monologue i discovered a few years ago, which i was so impressed with that i ended up performing it for my psychology class at Evergreen. i've transcribed it pretty much verbatim as it is. enjoy.

it seems to be "poetry day." i'm a bit too disgusted and self-conscious right now to write my own, but here is a lengthy passage (merely part of the whole) that i find utterly beautiful:
We are the sons of Sorrow, and you are the sons of Joy. We are the sons of Sorrow, and Sorrow is the shadow of a God who lives not...

I was hoping to "talk" to you I saw you on chat today but you took off before I got the chance. I'm sorry you're bummed

very soothing and calming to me at the moment. sorrow seems to be a huge part of my days now , and i feel that most people don't get or understand it. some people would rather not feel it, but for me it's helping and kind of a comfort.
sigh. i'm in something of a bad mood, so excuse me if i rant.
it's quite frustrating when you talk to someone about how you're feeling, and they reciprocate with trying to liken your story/emotion to one they have experienced. similar occurences or whatnot. they understand, they say (and i'm not pulling a 'no one understands me' fit here), but rather, they can't understand. as...

something on the boards inspired me to muse about this.
is it better to live a quiet life knowing that you are living in a way that makes you happy and hurts no one, wherein you are largely (happily) ignored by the world at large, and thereby let the ignorant masses continue to play out their ridiculous ways, as you feel it’s not worth it,...

Hey! Just saw the cheat plushie that morning as a matter of fact. Teeheeee! Must have cheat plushie! (where is my credit card?)
I like your journal musings. I think it is best to wory about one's self and hope that you inspire others. I still feel that I have so much to do before I am living up to my own ideals, so I wouldn't even dream of pushing them on others at this time. (This could all change as I change though.)

had a couple of job interviews today. the first one went really well. the other one...
let me just say that the blank-mind stupor of orgasm is hardly the state to be in when being interviewed. oh well. hopes for the first remain.

well, i've got 2 pictures up, but i can't put up any more until i get photoshop working properly. for some reason my digital camera takes pictures that average 150kb and so none of them fit. alas.

He had risen several times on the subtle and powerful wings of lust, expectant of magnificence, achieving only discharge. A few times he had extended friendship with palpitating hope, only to find that no one quite knew what...
