had a good weekend in dc, staying as far away from all of the visiting republicans and crap. my brother & his wife went to the inaugural ball which i heard was stupid as hell. drink tickets, which you had to line up and buy like they used to do in the USSR shopping centers, and fucking bowls of pretzels. they attended because they're shooting a documentary re: the election (called Swing State: Ohio) and the delegates from ohio were nice enough to invite them. they did get footage of the prez so it wasn't a complete loss - and this was the sole thing that prevented it from being one of those class "parties" you had in third grade, where you got a bowl of pretzels and were allowed to talk in class.
came back to nyc and its blustery cold. that's like the first time in my life that i've actually used the word "blustery".
it's a scam! found out that the photos from saturn's moon titan were actually taken in the lower east side! it's friggin freezing here!
