i gotta get outta town for a few days. i'm so fucking tired. think i'm going to go to my parents' place in dc thurs-fri-sat. work has been kicking my ass and my sleep schedule is all screwy.
i can't wait to get upstate and record as well...only a few more weeks before we get this recording done. my band's last show was kickass and we need to keep moving forward with the momentum. i was able to catch up with Hallux and Asstraffic at the Knitting Factory, albeit for a horribly brief amount of time, but it still was good to see them. they both looked uber hot, too. Wisconsin has been good to Hallux. my band will probably will do a mini tour of Boston, Providence, Philly, DC in april. our next show is feb 2 if you wanna catch us before we head into the studio. there's a couple of new photos of the show in my band pics folder, but i'm really excited that a friend shot and edited a great live video to one of our songs. i'm gonna try to make it fit on my band's website. for now, there's a few quicktime clips of an old show, plus mp3s etc. there. check it out if you want: The Velocet

in other news, on hallux's suggestion, i went to the Neue Galerie to see the comique grotesque exhibit on Friday. it was wonderful!... besides that, they have a wonderful collection of Klimt, Scheile, Klee, etc. Some great stuff in a beautiful building plus a good cafe with pianist to set the mood. good date stuff, if yer into museums.
oh, i finally saw The Life Aquatic, too. Boy did I enjoy it.
ooh crap! while typing this i realized that i'm headed into DC at the same time as the prez inauguration. this is gonna be hectic! when will i get some rest?
