my Sonex 180 arrived today! Yippie!. I won it on ebay for close to nothing. I didn't want to tell until I had it coz i thought some rocker on SG might steal it away.
Gibson made these guitars from like 1980-82 and they came with the friggin hottest stock pickups around. They were american made, but featured a bolt-on neck and a wierd composite body, so they didn't appreciate, people didn't dig them at the time. They had this wonderful odd tone because of the strange body and are loud as shit. I plugged this one into my fender twin reverb (turned to 2.2) as soon as UPS dropped it off and it nearly destroyed the apartment building. i'm used to playing a tele. my tele w/ volume on the guitar turned up all the way = sonex 180 on 3. Really wicked. I'm still trying to figure what sounds best on it.
anyways, did some business-ish stuff related to music today w/ a manager after i wiped the drool off of my face, and then met with friends later. stepped outside and WHAM! what the hell is up with the rain? I feel like i must be rip van winkle and slept through summer....woke up in november.

i tend to think that it becomes columbus and is never heard from again.
i feel silly for thinking that way considering i used to work up at st. luke's hospital and took the subway EVERY freaking day to 110/broadway. *smacks head*
