I was out taking a walk yesterday and it really started out as a beautiful day, then the clouds which have been hanging around manhattan rolled in again like a mothership right before the precipitation hits, the obscured sunlight gives off this weird solar-eclipse type feel.
I step into Cafe Con Leche as it starts to rain and luckily am there right before their lunch menu ends at 4:00. For lunch you can get a huge pile of anything Cuban plus a plate of rice and beans or amazing plantains from 4.95 - 5.95. In and out with a diet coke fore 7.00 For New York, where a QP w/ chz meal costs 5.95, it's the bomb. I take a seat and there's a really cute girl with a camera. Turns out she's visiting from Massachussets, working for habitat for humanity and has a day off and is in the midst of walking from Soho up to Harlem and taking photos. The rain ruins the last part of her walk, so we sit and she has cafe con leche while i eat and we talk and it was fun. me being the complete weiner, never bothered to get her name or address or anything and after a while, i got up and said goodbye...i didn't know what to do.
then i went home, got online and WON the Gibson Sonex 180 Deluxe i had been bidding on. Recorded a few passes on some stuff i'd been working on and went to bed.
