The wall on which the prophets wrote
Is cracking at the seams.
Upon the instruments of death
The sunlight brightly gleams.
When every man is torn apart
With nightmares and with dreams,
Will no one lay the laurel wreath
As silence drowns the screams.

Between the iron gates of fate,
The seeds of time were sown,
And watered by the deeds of those
Who know and who are known;
Knowledge is a deadly friend
When no one sets the rules.
The fate of all mankind I see
Is in the hands of fools.

Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back
And laugh.
But I fear tomorrow Ill be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow Ill be crying.

King Crimson - "Epitaph"

I guess I'm just in one of those moods today. Ah, what do you expect from someone who has to work from six in the morning till eight or nine at night most days. This shit's getting old.

I can't wait to get to California. I can't wait to tell my boss I fucking quit. I can't wait for the new season of Stargate and Atlantis... but that's besides the point... damnit I'm a nerd.

It's kind of difficult in a way, though. It's really hard to leave my band. Especially now while we are all having such a crappy time since the storm. It feels like both the best and worst time to leave at the same time, but I still can't wait to get up there. It feel's like I've already checked out, and I'm just sitting around waiting for my bank account to fill up some.

My life has been such hell for the past year or so, and I feel like when urblueygrl and SexyBeast came down I had the first honestly good time I'd had in a long time. (even though I was drunk most of the two nights and got in a fight with some stairs (aparently))

So even though it's really difficult to leave my band, who are closer to me than my own family and have been for the past ten or eleven years, I think this is going to be a really positive thing in my life.

And it's gonna be fun as hell fuckin' with the yankees... heh... I don't think I know any people from up north. And I consider everything above Baton Rouge to be "up north".

Hey, can you get crawfish in Cali? Live, I don't even trust people down here to cook mine.

Also, what about boudin? I eat boudin at least twice a week.

Surprise, surprise, my fat ass is more worried about the food up there than anything else!

Oh, well. So long as there is plenty of JD and Jagermonster and an occasional beer or twelve I think it'll work out.

I really think you moving down here is going to be really good for you. It helped both of us out alot just to be somewhere different. Its really the only way you can change things you want to change about yourself. I know from personal experience and will explain more later...

Plus I think Im really gonna need your help with SexyBeast, I dont think Ive ever seen him really sick. Since I will have to keep working I might need some help making sure he is eating and getting around ok.

Yeah dont worry too much about the food. It isnt as great as back home but we can try to fix stuff up. I mean if your here then we can cook up some steaks for the 2 of us. Hopefully the doctors tell him he has to eat some meat and then we will force him to eat it.
