For the last two years, my mom and I have been compiling a cookbook different from any other cookbook out there. Think of it as Julia Child meets Chicken Soup for the Soul. Basically, our contributors have been submitting stories about themselves or loved ones (alive or deceased) who have battled some kind of illness, either physical or mental and attaching their favourite dessert recipe along with a picture of said dessert. We want to publish this cookbook as a way to raise awareness about illness’ that people may not have heard of and 50% of all profits will go to the causes and foundations listed in the book. The point of this cookbook is to honour our heroes by eating our dessert first as our heroes prove on a daily basis that life can be so uncertain.
