Everything is just peachy

well, I wasted away my vacation. Well, pretty much. In terms of not doing any work during vacation, that's what I mean when I say "wasted". I know, I know, doing work during vacation kind of goes against the whole "vacation" thing, but we also have to keep in mind what type of person I am- I get bored with only one full time job.

so, I've done some work, and that's ok. I'll grade all my shit over the next two days and enter them into the computer, that, though blindingly simple, takes a good amount of time.

Now for some movie reviews- nothing new here, just some recent releases that I've seen during the time I was at home:


Assault on Precinct 13- pretty good flick, for those that don't know, it was a remake. I haven't seen the original so I can't comment on that. It was entertaining. ok premise and visuals 7/10

Troy- I've been meaning to see this movie, but let's face it, it's pretty bloody long. I was always a fan of the Odessey and Illiad so I'm a little tainted in that respect. Pretty good action, nice bevy of women- Diane Kruger looks phenomenal as Helen. Plenty of Brad Pitt pseudo-nakedness to get the girls in a tissy. There was something that bothered me about it though- something about Pitt and how me moved, especially in the fight scenes- not all the time mind you, but some of that shit was just stupid. Especially in his fight with Hector.

Overall- I'll be kind and go 8.5/10

Like I said, I'm a little biased because I already love the story and they didn't do a half bad job- at least I don't think so
