So... it finally happened... Last night U got to see World War Z! It was absolutely amazing! I'd read the book a few weeks ago and, although Brad Pitt's character is a new addition, it did the book justice, *Spoilers* Although one other BIG change was that in the film the zombies can run, and I mean RUN. Some faster than Usain Bolt after 10 cans of Red Bull! Still, I think this was to add to the excitement and horror aspect. Slow zombies? I'll just jog away. Fast zombies? Holy shit! Run for your life!
The Film received mixed reviews, and for a film that cost $190 million dollars, the reviews didn't do it justice. I'm a huge zombie fan and I've seen everything and played everything to do with them. This film had me on the edge of my seat and more than once it made me jump. Brad Pitt was excellent in his role, and the characters he met along the way made the struggle against the hoards of undead seem like a realistic and believable threat. In my opinion? 8/10. I would have liked to have seen a full on war with tanks, jets and soldiers again millions of Zeds - That would have made the film a 9 or even possibly a solid 10 - but there is rumours of a second one in the making. Lets hope this one can beat its predecessor!
