U2 Preproduction Day
With the over calls, there was more than a full crew and very few No shows ( I have to admit I don't understand no shows... I try really hard to tell everyone where and what they're doing. People who overhear me talking to new people who haven't done this type of thing too much, sometimes say I sound like a Kindergarten Teacher trying to tell a child what to do over the phone when they're lost. ) So, either I pissed them off by talking down to them over the phone.. Or, I guess some people just don't have the ability to get their shit together. I blame the last few years of easy street, when it comes to employment. Kid's today...Geeesshh... This crew... I was for the most part impressed the ones who showed up, especiallly the College Kids. They were so eager... I remember that moment when I worked the local U2 Zoo T.V. Tour date way back in 92 when I was bright eyed bushy tailed , believed in love. And, that god had sent me his Angel.
With the lighting, stage and expanding cone video wall finally in the stage has a real personality... It looks more like a vicious space monster - spider, trying to swallow a chinese finger trap. Check out the photos
