The Eve....
Tomorrow it's back into the Stadium... For the first day of the Local U2 Steel call, the first of three days of build for "The Claw" The whole show is 80 percent called from end to end. I was hoping for 100 Percent... I was wondering if, third kick at the can I get it all before the first day of the build. That I could just sit there... put out little crew fires as they happened and prep for the production in/ out days... when we really need to be on our toes... checking in the newbies and the old cats for the big show....
It's sad that Dennis, our AC/DC HC got hit by a car and is on injury parade, and unable to be there. He was a great calm solid head during AC/DC. Dale will be fine, he's toured with huge shows and has a real Carpenter's background for detail. And I get along well with him ( I think...) Plus, Scott is once again the Night HC where we really need a leader. Once the first crew shows up, on time ready to work and I can stop worrying. I will be able to breathe a bit and get back to filling calling holes and rechecking our numbers.
Thank god DefLeppard cancelled.. That's taken a huge expectation of concern off our plates. To have 2 huge shows back to back and then crew everything else with people our contractors wnat to work with. It's just one less uncertainty.
I'm glad I took the time off to see Boston and get real... I wish I could go away right after this... just hop on a plane and run... run away to Japan...
