So, I've been trying the personals ...Again. Once more, other than making a few out of country email friends in Thailand and Estonia ( Don't get me wrong they're both cute, just thousands of miles away to properly date ) It's been ...well...Nothing
Mind you I'm getting really used to online rejection. ( even the women with kids don't reply ) I don't think however that's going to help in the real world. I keep wondering were all the 35 + women have disappeared to. The other weekend in between the Carmen Opera Hang and focus I went to the Taboo sex convention ( really just a temporary fetish gear, sex shop mall setup ) And wondered where they all were again. - I'm thinking they're all taking extended college classes or obsessively going to Yoga classes.
The place was full of couples and guys like me ( single ) It was fun to watch the sexy fashion shows and burlesque shows. I even watched the male stripper show to see if finally the women would turn up. But, once again it was couples and bemused guys, cheering on the male strippers.
Still at SinCity fetish night I keep meeting really young women. That in its self isn't a bad thing. I just hate the idea of lying to them about my age. ( As when I do tell them Im 41. I get a sort of. " DEER in Headlights" look from them. One that usually ends any indicator of interests from them. ) I should just say guess???? And then nod non-comital at their response. And if they egg me on. Just say "well, would you like it if I bugged you about what YOUR age is?"
On the good side I seem to have made friends with one of the Fetish clothiers and her BF. Which might help me in getting to know some of the more stand offish people at Sin. Or make me feel more comfortable about chatting them up.
For those of you that think Fetish nights are really odd or Disgusting. For the most part Sin City is like an adult halloween party, every other weekend. The true Dungeon master, whipping Kinky BDSM factor is quite low and I don't really participate in that. 90% of it is: DDDT ( Dress-up, Dance, Drink and Tease )
What I like about it is:
For a single guy in his forties who's not a pickup artist. The only other 2 options to see or be with attractive women in naughty costumes is: Rent a Prostitute or A night at a strip bar - The first one I have NO interest in.
The second one? Well, I've been there done that far too many times. And it's really un-involving and kind of depressing after a while. Sitting there alone watching girl after girl dance for guys she really doesn't know or like. But, has to pretend to. And when I've talked to the few dancers who aren't all about private dance flogging. I find to that most strippers really hate their jobs.
And, I like to dance. But, in a strip bar, they won't let you dance with them. Or even near them. That just gets you thrown out.
Plus, I hate Fake Boobs too much to watch women who really don't look like real women from the chest up anymore.... strip.
Fake boobs really only look good in bras. Unless they have that wandering nipple disease...( where they point in completely different and unnatural directions ) I've never understood why women don't correct that in the doctors office. I mean, you wouldn't leave a body shop with a fixed car body that did that while you drive?
( Note: And for those of you who defend Burlesque. The local Burlesque events in this town have really gone downhill. The production values for the most part stink, and sadly have never gotten any better. The dancing groups themselves have all gained a lot of bad weight. In a group of girls now.. there's one great dancer in the group. And then you have to suffer through her heavy group of bad dancer friends who have bad schtick. Plus the single girl clienetele at those shows are - for the most part - are also BBW - and yes there are BBW out there. I'm just not attracted to women who weigh more than me. - Why can't more Burlesque dancers be like Dita Von Tease. Minus the fake boobs... That's good, high concept, modern burlesque. )
But, with Fetish nights ( as they are Participatory - you have to dress up in non street clothes to get in ) the standard quasi-gangsta boy Douce bag factor is super low to non existent. Its like being in a Gay bar like setting, full of really accepting kinky straight Guys and girls. And, more importantly to me, women who dress like naughty women.
Who will let you just be. Or they ask you were you got that rubber shirt, skirt, opera gloves - And I can do the same too. It's a great place to act out in a good way. I've never seen a fight. And the only people who bug you when your in the line up are all the Normal gawkers that pass by the club. And they're the ones who don't get it.
